Established by Zendai Group in 2005, the Shanghai Himalayas Museum (formerly known as Shanghai Zendai Museum of Modern Art) is a privately-funded, non-profit art institute focusing on art exhibition, education, collection, research and academic exchanges.
Shanghai Himalayas Museum pays close attention to the changes taking place in contemporary Chinese culture scene as well as the society as a whole, and is committed to exploring and promoting the landscape of Chinese art and culture.

Zendai Contemporary Art Space



Located in Wuwei Creative Complex in northeast Shanghai and covering an area of over 3,000sqm, the 3-storeyed Zendai Contemporary Art Space consists of galleries, art studios, mini theatre, archive, terrace and square.
Featuring visionary art and an open attitude, the space aims to encourage communication and collaboration among art institutes, artists, curators and critics, both from China and from abroad, and to advance and encourage the development of Chinese contemporary art.

Zendai Zhujiajiao Art Space



As a branch of Himalayas Art Museum, Shanghai Zendai Zhujiajiao Art Space, located in Grand Hongqiao Hub Area, is of strategic importance in Himalayas Art Museum’s overall blueprint for its role in the scene of contemporary art and culture. 
The space places an emphasis on the presentation and study of contemporary ink and wash painting. In the meantime, it will also launch an artist-in-residence programme and a variety of public educational programmes.
